At Pratt Industries, we believe that being a leader in the packaging industry starts with being a good neighbor. As a privately-held company based right here in Georgia, we take pride in investing in the communities we call home. We are excited to share a significant milestone in our journey to better serve our partners in the South Georgia agricultural community.
The Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority has officially approved an agreement for the expansion of our Moultrie warehouse at 308 Industrial Drive. This project is more than just a building expansion; it is a commitment to the farmers, families, and businesses that drive the heartbeat of Georgia’s economy.
A Strategic Hub for the Agriculture Community
For over 30 years, Pratt Agriculture has stood side-by-side with the fresh produce and farming community. This expansion reinforces our strategic "hub-and-spoke" model, ensuring we have the inventory and logistics capabilities to support our customers when and where they need us.
This growth works in harmony with our recent investments in our Albany operations and our new box plant in Warner Robins, creating a robust network to serve the region.
Investing in Our Hometowns
As the largest individually owned manufacturing company in America, Pratt Industries has the unique advantage of thinking long-term. We invest in the people and the technology that secure a sustainable future for the next generation.
This expansion in Moultrie will:
- Create New "Green-Collar" Jobs: Providing stable, meaningful employment for our local workforce.
- Support Local Agriculture: Increasing service and support for the farmers who feed our country.
- Foster Economic Growth: Strengthening Moultrie’s position as a vital hub for both agriculture and manufacturing.
A Partnership for the Future
We are honored to be a valued partner in Colquitt County. As Ross Dekle, Chairman of the Moultrie–Colquitt County Development Authority, noted, this investment underscores the incredible strength of the local workforce. We are proud to play a role in driving economic growth while remaining true to our mission of providing custom, sustainable packaging solutions.
From our paper mills to our local warehouses, Pratt is dedicated to the communities where we live and work. We look forward to the long-term benefits this project will bring to South Georgia and the continued success of the many customers we are privileged to serve.
